A coffee suspended is a kindness waiting.
Post-war Napoli invented caffè sospeso: you pay for two espressos but drink one. The second hangs on the board — sospeso, suspended — for whoever walks in next and cannot pay. No names, no thanks expected. Just the city looking after its own.
On Solana, the stranger who cannot pay is the newcomer with a fresh wallet and zero SOL. They want to mint, swap, sign in — but every action needs gas they don’t have yet.

Sponsor deposits
A sponsor calls create_sospeso and locks SOL into an on-chain escrow PDA, with caps: max per claim, total claims, expiry, new-wallet-only.

Matching engine
When a newcomer needs gas, Gaslt's engine picks an eligible sospeso pool -- checking remaining balance, per-claim cap, expiry and anti-abuse rate limits.
03Octane
Relayer pays the fee
The relayer signs the transaction as fee-payer (the Octane pattern). The newcomer's transaction lands on-chain with zero SOL of their own.

Escrow reconciles
claim_sospeso debits the escrow, writes a ClaimReceipt (one per wallet -- the double-claim guard), and the relayer recovers the gas it fronted.
On-chain verifier: sospeso_verifier (live on Solana devnet) — PDAs for pools & claim receipts, per-claim caps, expiry, and a one-receipt double-claim guard. Pure SOL lamports, no SPL token.
